Important: A patch test is required 48 hours prior to your first treatment. A full consultation is also required to explain the maintenance required with lash extensions. Please come to treatment with your eyes and lashes clean and free of make-up. There is a quick cleanse included in the treatment but built up or caked on make-up will require additional time to remove, resulting in additional cost. You can book a Deep Cleanse Add On if you need it, failure to do so will mean that any additional time spent cleansing will be time lost in applying lashes.
lash extensions aftercare advice
- For the first 12 hours, do not let your lashes come into contact with water
- For the first two days, do not wash eyes or lashes with hot water or allow steam near the face
- Avoid rubbing your eyes and eyelashes to prevent damaging them
- Avoid treatments such as steam rooms, saunas and tanning beds as the extreme of heat can cause the adhesive to soften and your lashes to loosen
- No regular mascaras should be used, especially water-proof mascaras, Hollywood Lash mascaras can be purchased and are chemically compatible with the adhesive used. Use sparingly and only apply to the ends, avoid applying from the base of the lash
- Do not use any eye make-up remover on the lashes and avoid anything that contains oils i.e. moisturisers, eye creams etc. Use only oil free products on the eye area
- A refill will be required 2 or 3 weeks to keep them in perfect condition, due to natural growth cycle and shedding of your own lashes
- Do not use a mechanical eyelash curler as this will cause your adhesive bond to break and may even cause damage to your natural lashes. A heated lash curler may be used sparingly and only on the ends, avoid the bonded area
- Lashes should be kept clean to remain free of bacteria and to prevent eye infections. Care must be taken when cleaning and only water based cleansers should be used.
