Salon Terms & Conditions
Please note - there are additional terms in the COVID-19 Procedures section of the website that may override some of the information contained in these T&Cs at the current time and until such time as management deem appropriate.
Appointments & Consultations:
In order to avoid disappointment please book your appointments well in advance, our calendar can book up 2-4 weeks ahead of time.
Last minute appointments and walk-ins are always welcome and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Please arrive on time for your treatment(s). We will ask you to provide an email address and we will send you out a digital version of our general consultation form. The information in this form is 100% confidential and is used for salon purposes only. If we need additional information, for a specific treatment, we will either send you another form specific to that treatment or book you in for a 15 minute consultation with one of our therapists.
Refusal to complete a consultation form may result in some treatments having to be refused.
A prompt appointment schedule is adhered to, arriving late may interfere with your treatment time as all appointments will finish at their scheduled time so as not to delay the next client. (If a delay is our fault your treatment time will not suffer as a result)
Mobile Phones:
To fully benefit from your time in the salon and as a courtesy to other clients you are asked to switch off the volume and vibration on your mobile phones during your visit to the salon. Please do not touch your phone while having a hand/nail treatment as you will have to wash and sanitise hands again before the staff member is expected to touch your hands.
Cancellations:
We value your custom, please value our time. Please consider that other clients that may be waiting for an appointment and allow at least 24 hours when cancelling. We do understand that genuine emergencies can happen.
If a client has had 3 or more cancellations under the 24 hour cancellation period and/or no shows a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required to secure a future bookings. Your online booking facility will be removed, you will have to contact the salon directly to book in. This is determined at the discretion of the salon owner and may be discussed on an individual basis at a time that suits the salon owner.
Patch Testing:
Patch testing is required at least 48 hours prior to treatment for eyelash tinting, eyelash extensions, HD brows, henna brows, elite brows, facial peels, lash lifts, brow lamination, collagen lift and microdermabrasion for clients who have never had these treatments done before. An additional consultation with one of our therapists may also be required, you will be advised of this at the time of booking.
If a client has not attended the salon for a treatment listed above in the last 6 months, they must also be patch tested again. This is for your benefit and treatment will not go ahead if refused.
You must keep us informed of any new or ongoing health matters that may affect your treatment and it is important that you are completely honest on your consultation forms or when asked by a staff member. The salon accepts no liability in the case of adverse reactions if a client has not provided full disclosure.
If you have had a COVID-19 vaccine or vaccine booster since your last appointment for the above listed treatments, you need to return to the salon for another patch test once you have passed the settling in period for your vaccine. This is to ensure you do not potentially take a reaction to the products and cause you any discomfort. Settling periods for each vaccine are: Pfizer - 1 week, Janssen and Moderna - 2 weeks, AstraZeneca - 3 weeks.
Salon Etiquette:
- Children under the age of 14 are not permitted in the salon for health and safety reasons. In certain exceptions, when a treatment is required for the good of the child, this may be permitted at the discretion of the salon owner.
- Clients under the age of 18 years need parental consent for salon treatments and only selected treatments are available to them.
- Please note that we no longer offer normal nail polish or spray tanning as services in this salon.
- Please communicate your specific expectations, both before and during the treatment so that we can target your specific needs e.g. more extensive extractions, deeper massage, square or round nail shape etc. This allows us to provide you with the highest level of customer service. If for any reason we have not achieved your needs please let us know before you leave the treatment area and we can aim to rectify that either there and then or to get you back in as soon as we can.
- If you are looking for specific nail art please let us know in advance as we may need to allocate additional time. There may also be an additional cost which we will need to communicate to you.
- While larger booking groups are welcome, please do not forget that there are other clients and your consideration of their comfort is much appreciated.
-Only the person who is booked should attend the salon, do not bring additional persons into the salon who do not have appointments. We do not have the facilities to accommodate them. However, if there is a particular need for a person to have someone with them, e.g. a carer, please inform the staff at the time of booking and we will do all we can to look after their needs.
- Our aim is to make your visit to Carolines Beauty Room as enjoyable as possible. If you see any way we can improve our level of service, your feedback would be appreciated.
Medical Matters:
- With the recent national health emergency in mind and the fact that we had to close for such extended periods of time, we try now to prevent any salon closures due to illness. We ask that you take personal responsibility and use a common sense approach if you feel unwell. If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been a close contact of someone with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 (within the last 5 days), please do not attend the salon. Appointments can easily be rescheduled.
This also applies to any cold, flu, tummy bug or any illness that you have been exposed to that would be considered easily transmissible. The staff depend on the salon for their livelihoods so we would kindly ask that you keep us informed. We thank you for your respect and consideration.
- When booking an appointment, please inform us of any health conditions that you may have. This includes (but is not exclusive to) heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, diabetes, varicose veins, allergies and pregnancy. This ensures no disappointment when a treatment cannot be performed.
- This information is 100% confidential.
- Please take responsibility for your health and safety while in the salon. If you become unwell please alert staff immediately.
Closed Door Policy & Waiting
You must have an appointment to gain entry to the salon.
Please arrive for your allocated time and wait outside.
There is no indoor waiting area to reduce the number of people on the premises.
Please wait in your car or outside the salon, remembering to maintain physical distancing. Your staff member will come out and get you when the area is sanitised and ready. We aim to get to you as quickly as possible but do ask for patience and understanding.
If the weather is not good, please make sure to wear suitable clothing and bring an umbrella.
Individuals Only in Salon
Only the individual with the appointment should attend at the allocated time. We cannot allow extra persons in the salon.
Children under 14 are not permitted in the salon. 14-18 year olds must be known to us already and their parents must be happy for them to attend the salon alone, while they wait outside in the car. The bookings must be made over the phone so that we can speak to a parent/guardian.

Please note we are no longer offering regular polish or full manicures that involve arm massage, and we do not carry out any type of nail enhancements on those under 16. We do however have a new Custom Press On Nail service that may suit.
Patch tests and written permission from a parent/guardian may be required for some treatments.
Personal Belongings
Only bring the essentials, phone/money/keys, in a small bag that can be hung on your chair. These cannot be placed onto sanitised work surfaces or floors.
No bulky, large bags or shopping bags. Leave these in the boot of your car.
Do not touch your personal belongings during your treatment, this leads to contamination of your hands and our surfaces after sanitising.
No Food or Drinks
No food or drinks from external sources are permitted. They should be placed in the public bin outside the salon before entering.
We are currently unable to offer refreshments in the salon as this would require you to touch and remove your mask.
Staff Decisions Are Final
Any staff member will have the right to stop your treatment at any time or to ask you to leave the premises if they feel their safety or health will be compromised. Abuse of any kind of staff members will not be tolerated. If you have a grievance you may direct it to the salon owner, Caroline Carrick. You can make an appointment to speak to Caroline or in person or by phone or to send an email outlining your grievance to carolinesbeautyroom@yahoo.ie
Pricing:
- Prices are valid at the time of print and may be subject to change, please check with us when making your appointment.
- Management reserve the right to alter or amend any details at any time without prior notice.
- Prices are inclusive of VAT, Carolines Beauty Room is a VAT registered business.
Gift Vouchers:
Caroline’s Beauty Room gift vouchers can be purchased directly from the salon or in email format on our website or salon branded app. Our digital vouchers can be sent to you or to the person you are buying the voucher for. It is important that you fill in your own details on the purchase screen.
Gift vouchers are valid for 5 years from date of purchase. They are non-refundable for cash and non-transferrable. Ant remaining balance will be noted on the voucher and can be used at a later date. Multiple vouchers may be used in one transaction.
Carolines Beauty Room accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen gift vouchers
Courses of Treatments:
All courses of treatments e.g. ‘buy 5 get 1 free’ are valid for 6 months from the date of your first treatment, or strictly within the time frame as set out by your therapist.
Special Offers:
- Special offers run on a regular basis, details are available in salon or on www.carolinesbeautyroom.com
- Special offers are only valid for the times set and cannot be purchased as a voucher.
