We worked tirelessly behind the scenes during the first COVID lockdown to ensure that when we re-opened we could do so as safely as possible for the good of our staff, our clients, our families and the greater community. Now that we are emerging from our second lockdown on Tuesday, December 1st, we will continue to maintain those standards.
We want to share with you the precautions and procedures that you can expect when you attend the salon.
Things are a little different and we ask for your understanding and help as we try to navigate through the 'new normal'.
We have restricted staff hours and some services are limited in order to allow us to manage safety and client numbers. This is due to the extremely close proximity and hands-on contact that we will have with you for extended periods of time. We must all stay vigilant and respect each other.
With this in mind we have new procedures for you to follow when entering the salon and kindly ask that you comply with any and all staff requests. We will outline those fully below.
Thank you for your patience in reading this and we will see you soon

Procedures For Booking & Visiting The Salon
Bookings
Online bookings will be available again soon. To make a booking, please contact us by text or WhatsApp on 0833073399. Please note, we do not take phone calls on this number.
Once we are back in the salon, we may be unable to answer the phone very much during work hours due to the increased level of cleaning we need to carry out, we will try to though. Please be patient, we will get back to you at our earliest opportunity or at the end of the day. Please leave only one voice message or text, multiple messages repeating the same thing via different platforms e.g. voice message and text and Facebook, are simply a waste of time.
Not all services are available yet, e.g. full manicures, normal nail polish, lash lift, we will keep you updated as they become available.

Health Screening
You are asked to complete a health questionnaire. This can be done digitally on the link below, a link is also sent in your reminder email, or upon your arrival to the salon if you cannot access the digital link for any reason. This will need to be filled out for every visit.
We will also take your temperature and record it. This is an obligation we have for infection control and contact tracing purposes. If necessary we may have to provide this information to the HSE.

Exercise Common Sense
We ask for your honesty. If you feel unwell, are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms or are awaiting the results of a COVID test please do not attend the salon. Your appointment can easily be re-scheduled. If you have open cuts or sores on an area to be treated, please re-schedule your appointment.
If you are selfish and neglect to advise us of your symptoms you could be responsible for spreading the virus to the salon staff, their families or your fellow clients, causing the salon to close again. The staff depend on the salon for their livelihoods so we would kindly ask that you keep us informed.

Closed Door Policy & Waiting
You must have an appointment to gain entry to the salon. Please arrive for your allocated time and wait outside.
There will be no indoor waiting area to reduce the number of people on the premises. Please wait in your car or outside the salon, remembering to maintain physical distancing. Your staff member will come out and get you when the area is sanitised and ready. We aim to get to you as quickly as possible but do ask for patience and understanding as we adjust.
If the weather is not good, please make sure to wear suitable clothing and bring an umbrella.

Individuals Only
Only the individual with the appointment should attend at the allocated time. We cannot allow extra persons in the salon. While we love your little ones, unfortunately for the moment, you will have to leave them at home. Children under 16 will not be permitted in the salon for the moment as they must be accompanied by an adult. Don't worry, we will do something special for them just as soon as we can.
UPDATE 06/08/2020: We are delighted to let you know that we are lowering the age for younger clients to 14 in the salon. However, they must be known to us already and their parents must be happy for them to attend the salon alone, while they wait outside in the car. The bookings must be made over the phone so that we can speak to a parent/guardian.
You can text or WhatsApp us on 0833073399 and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Services will still be limited in line with our current offerings so please note we are not offering regular polish at this time and do not carry out any type of nail enhancements on those under 16.
Patch tests and written permission from a parent/guardian may be required for some treatments.

Vulnerable and High Risk Clients
We have designated private areas that are available to our vulnerable and high risk clients. We understand there are some clients that may need a carer with them and we have a room that will be suitable for that use. Please make sure to advise us of your requirements at the time of booking so that we can book that space for you.

Face Masks
Face masks are now mandatory to wear in shops and are necessary in this salon. Please bring a face mask to wear during your treatment. Failure to bring one will result in refusal. A face visor is not a suitable face covering for the purposes of your salon visit.
Please make sure your mask is in place before you enter the salon and refrain from touching it during your treatment. You may have to remove it for certain treatments, you will be advised of this at time of booking.
We have an infographic below for correct mask usage.

Remove Any Old Nail Product
On your first visit to the salon please ensure that any home applied or very old product is removed from your nails, this will reduce the time spent at the nail table and help reduce exposure. We will not be offering product removal services for approximately the first 3 weeks after re-opening.
Also, we do not refill or remove work from other nail technicians.

- We have distanced all work areas, have cough screens in place and have floor markings.
- There will be 15 minute gaps between clients to allow us to fully clean and sanitise our workstations.
- There will be no soft furnishings, all beauty couches will be cleaned down between use and we will be using disposable towels etc. where possible.
- In the event that we need to use a normal towel it will go straight into the wash.
- We already have stringent cleaning procedures in place, these will be visibly heightened.
